XIV AMA Model Show Ship Report

This years AMA annual event, the 14th, held in the Lisbon area of Portugal, just across the Tagus river, had some ship "usual suspects" missing...but there were some new members that tried the dark side! You just need to check the Hobby Boss submarine models: they are both from a club member only ten years old!

All in all, the rest of the show was fairly represented with the other themes of scale modeling, with the ship models (as usual) the less represented in numbers, although (even if I am suspected), the quality was high (in all show too).

We had the work area for some modelers to work "live", and the ship modelers, in plastic, resin and wood, made their efforts to show the visitors the "raw stuff" before they turn into the little wonders.

Of note was the sorrow shown by several visitors that were looking for a huge dry dock, as seen on the event poster, only to find out (when they missed it, they came and ask where it was!) that after all, it was a small diorama... Size matters?
