The Kit:
This resin kit is pretty typical of modern resin kits. Cast in almost a single piece, the kit has only a few dozen resin pieces to attach. It comes with a fairly good PE fret with everything you need except railings. Most PE pieces fit well except for the raked funnel cap...This assembly was supposed to be three pieces that all came together at very oblique angles to make the cap. The result unfortunately is that while the side pieces are cut correctly, the rear piece is simply not cut at the right angles to make a square funnel cap. I had to scratch build my own to get it to fit.

Overall, the kit went together well, and the PE fret has nice details, like wire racks for the life raft pods, and small pieces for the aerials on the main radar tower. The instructions were rather lacking, and provided only a single basic blow up of how some of the parts went on, and a few line drawings of the finished ship, leaving the modeler to guess as to what to put where.

Hi, @David Nice and clean result. Was there no helicopter included? The manufacturer site shows a picture of a model with a Westland Sea-Lynx Mk 88a. I was always curious about the NNT kit and rejected due to the price tag. After having seen your result, I might change my mind. Thank you for publishing this! @all It may interest some, that JJ at Modell-Heling.de -currently actually serving on a Bremen Class- is putting together a comprehensive article by text and picture. While the site comes in German language (e.g. you could use google translate), at least the walkaround pictures may be of interest. The article is going to be extended as time fits for the author, so maybe save the links and drop back there every once in a while. Yep - there is a helo inlcluded, but in order to ship it back to my patron in one piece, I did not build it up.. Shipping these things is an art by itself, and often does not allow me to build up all the pieces. David
