Indeed a nice build... Just wondering where Veniamin got the PE from that he used. I have not found a dedicated Myoko-class set yet (to use on the Myoko in my stash)... Cheers, Harm

I used many upgrades for this project: PE Fly Hawk, Lion Roar, Hasegawa, Aoshima, Voyagermodel, MK-1, Toms modelworks, Alliance model works, Rainbow, WEM, GMM. Detales: Fine molds, Voyage rmodel, Veteran models, Nico models, Pit road, L'Arsenal. Barrels: Master models.

Aoshima made 2 sets for her. One was Myoko which was the railings and I think the other was Nachi 1943 which had the other parts. Free time hobbies has one of them in stock.

I know there are Aoshima sets around, but from what I had come across their quality is not that good - at least not of the level of the kit itself, or sets produced by the 'usual' suspects (Flyhawk, LionRoar, White Ensign, GMM, Tom's, etc.). Seems that as it stands it will involve a lot of research to find out what best be used. But I still have time (there is a lot in the stash that needs to be finished/can be built first. But thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

Great looking build! Very crisp and clean with just a hint of weathering - as it should be for a full hull ship (in my opinion) - that brings out the detail nicely.

Great job!!

A wonderful rendition of a Japanese heavy cruiser. Class-for-class, they were the most formidable-looking ships of their type until the Soviet surface combatants of the 1960s-70s. Excellent work. --Karl

I don't make it to this side as often, but wanted to say that's a very nice build!
