E-Boat at the Dock

E-Boat in Port...

The main kit is the Airfix 1/72 German E-Boat built OOB The base is built up from model railway brick and stone work plastic card onto a wood block. The sea is house hold filler painted and gloss varnished. The crane and dockside items are from OO gauge model railway accessories. The Schwimmwagen is 1/72 Academy kit. The figures are Revell U-boat crew

The idea for the project came to me when I was looking through the Prinz Eugen site for info on the E-boat. I’ve learned that the kit is not quiet right and in the future would like to do another with the correct set up.

One always forgets the "E" boot. The "S" has garnered so much attention lately. I enjoyed this

A very impressive diorama Keith. I remember building this Airfix gem about 35 or 36 years ago Model maybe not 100% accurate but it was lots of fun to build. Cheers, Julian

Hi Keith Very nice work indeed on your E-Boat plus the diorama. As a HUGE fan of the Airfix E-Boat faults and all I really like the job you have done. Cheers Sean
