Veniamin Litvin (Litvin70) shares one of his latest works with us of the USS Alabama BB-60 as seen in 1942. Veniamin used Trumpeter's 1/350 scale kit of the Alabama to complete this project.
Veniamin used the following upgrades for this project:
Photo etch set from Flyhawk Models ( set for Alabama),
Photo etch from Alliance Modelworks, Rainbow, Eduard , Five Star and North Star.
Added details from North Star, L'Arsenal, ABK Models, Veteran models, Rainbow, Five Star, Niko Models and many scratch built parts.
Figures from North Star and L'Arsenal
Paints from WEM, Tamiya, GSI and Microscale. In addition, Gators' mask for Alabama's hull.
Decales were from Alliance Modelworks.
The photo etch sets (Trumpeter and Fly Hawk) are not too accurate, but I had very interesting 2 years with its project. ~ Veniamin Litvin

Veniamin,
Simply put, your model is how I would like my ship models to look! Your skill, craftsmanship, and artistry is excellent. Like Tim said, there is so much to look at - such splendid work. I will go back and look at some of the photos again. You really seem to have put a lot of research into her.

Dear colleagues, thank you very much for your compliments, I'm glad
that you like my model.
I used many very helpful books: «USS Alabama on deck», "South Dakota class battleships» ( Warship pictorial), «The battleship USS Alabama» (Top Drawings from Witold Koszela), "USS Alabama" (images of America) from Kent Whitaker, USS Battleships 1941-1963 from Wayne Scarpaci.

To put it simply sir, this is the best Alabama I have ever seen in 1/350.

Veniamin,
This build is outstanding. Having walked her decks, she's in Mobile Bay as a museum ship now, I can say you've captured her spectacularly. Very well done.
