Ahoy mates!

Well, the fleet is assembling for Operation Neptune and D-Day is drawing closer.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. So, did you get anything accomplished? I certainly did yesterday. Sound off mates. And don't for get the pictures!

Hey guys. Nobody did anything this weekend?

Ok, I'll start off.
I saw a three legged dog chase a one eyed cat down the street. That was until a gator missing 4 teeth chomped the cat.

See how easy that was.

Sorry Gator, been a real "Monday morning" at the office, mate...I had a small amount of benchtime Saturday evening, and a little yesterday, just decaled, clear-coated, and begun the final weathering of the Italeri LAV-25 that's been on my bench for oh-so-long...but progress is progress, I guess...

Did a little PE work on the DE.
Really didn’t do a lot of modeling again this weekend.
I’ve got to get back to work on them and finish something.

Hey all,

Not much in the way of bench time. I have the deck mounted and glued of my S-100 but you'll have to wait till I get home for any pics.

P.S. Tell the truth gator the dog was running cause you were gonna throw him in the gumbo.

put the Porsce to bed and finished up all but the gunner figure for the HUMVEE. (not that either required more than a half hour of work on both) Got My panzer 3 painted Afrika Korp and the tracks as well. this week hope to get the tracks completed and on the tank. Fenders are done except tools so hopefully by next Monday that should be close to finishing. After that, may tackle one of those 350 scale DD's I bought, just kinda depends on the mood.

We had our anual "Crawdad Festival" yesterday. Unfortunately work prevented me from attending and taking photos.

Nothing to do with modeling or ships, but another of our favorite pass times ya know.

I took the Hermione out of mothballs Sunday. There was some minor damage, a loose cannon, and some knots that i trimmed to close came undone. Time to get rigging again.....

I didn't put a single drop of paint or glue onto plastic or resin last week. My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary by renewing our wedding vows, and going to Disneyland for a week. (Ok we didn't spend the whole week at D land, )

I did manage to visit a awesome hobby shop in Garden Grove, Brookhurst Hobbies. I used to go to that store on my bicycle 35 years ago, and it's still there. When I walked in I thought I was going to be disappointed, the entire first third of the shop was wargaming stuff. Then I got to the good stuff. They had the Revell 1/72 Gato built on display, along with a large number of other ships. They had a great selection of all kinds of kits. To give an example they had the new DML M4 81mm half-track kit, and not just one but about half a dozen. They even had resin conversion kits and figures in stock. I picked up one resin figure kit, and was really tempted to get some PE sets, like for the Trumpeter USS The Sullivans, but I didn't want to spend too much. I highly recommend it if you happen to be in the area.

Did a bit of modelling like I mentioned on the Leyte Gulf thread, but spent the whole Saturday playing cricket. The weather was perfect. I bowled the perfect left-handers' inswinging yorker to take off the opening batsman's off-stump. Translation into baseball: sneaky curveball that just manages to come into the outer bottom corner of the right-hander's strike zone. The delivery was so good that I'm still replaying it in my mind. Now if I can only do it consistently enough...

Hi Kenny,

Started on a new project just by chance.

It's the Tarantul's from Dragon and an Echo II from Pitroad idea is the Tarantul's will be escorting the Echo out to sea for another mission.
Early stages but I have recieved some advice from our Skipper and will purchase some railings for the Tarantul's.

Ciao

Hi Kenny

It was a long weekend here in New Zealand (we celebrate the Queen of Englands Birthday) and I got some modelling in over the three days.

Worked on my E Boat and contemplated spraying my IJN Isuzu but it was way too humid and wet for spraying. (Remember its winter way down here and whilst we dont get snow in Auckland it rains a lot)

I will update you with photos of the E-Boat progress during the week.

Regards

Sean

I was too, kind of. I decided to wait until the M3 comes out.
