Ahoy mates.

I want to make some shell impact splashes around my sturmboot. Does anyone have any suggestions or references?

From the advertisor Vietnam Ironclads:
"How I made the bullets hitting water was by painting a sewing needle white, and while the paint was still wet, I wrapped a wisp of cotton around the needle. When the paint dried, I pulled the cotton up and presto, just stick it in your water scene. Use various size needles to "walk the bullets in"."

That was a great article with the water splashes. I'll have to take a better look at it when I get home. Have you done any splashes like that?

If that black and white was of a model and not the real thing, it looked really good. Of course the coloring might change that. Sounds like a great idea in theory. One thing I have never seen is good splashes, of course all I've ever seen is ones depicting large calibre guns like 5 inchers and larger
