Didn't know where to place this but do any of you know where I can pick up a 1/72 .50 cal?

I could swear I've seen resin 1/72 .50 MG, but I can't find them now. Depending on how many you need you could get a 1/72 kit that has one in it, like the Academy Duce and a Half.

I've seen some at Squadron's website in the armor accessories.

I looked for a couple of years and never found any. I wanted to upgrade the ones on my PT 109 kit. Short of buying other kits just for the guns I'm not sure if anyone ever put any out in this scale

Don't know if these are any use to you but Aeroclub make white metal Browning .50 cal on flexi mount. These are designed to be used on the waist position of aircraft.

My friend, thank you for the link. They didn't have a picture of the machineguns so I sent an e-mail asking for a pic, I might beable to use it if it looks good. I also checked out squadrons site but they only have the guns I want in 1/35. PDI modeling supply used to carry them from a supplier that was listed as "CMSC" does any one know what company this was?

If all else fails I can try getting a couple of kits with .50s in them but I run the chance they may not be any better than the ones in my kit already (this is for my Vosper build).

I received a reply e-mail with the pics of the Browning and they would work great but I think I may go with the guns from squadron since I may get faster service (their state side) and I won't have to deal with the exchange rate. Thank you for the link.

We'll have air-cooled Browning .50s coming very soon in our 1/72 range. These will be multi-piece cast resin mounts with a dedicated photoetch sets. This mount will be suitable for the 1/72 Gato or the 1/72 PT boat. Part number will be PE 7238, and you can pre-order now with no charge made until we ship your order.

Thats real good news, you'll be getting my order tonight then, I want those .50's. Any word yet as to when the "20mm orelikon" and the 21" american torpedo may be out?

That sounds great. How much? and How many do you get? To me a minimum of 2 twin sets to go with my old Pt 109 would constitute a set as well as including a proper mounting piece. The set from Squadron lacks any mounting stuff a they are for use in a wing of an aircraft.

All the 1/72 weapons should be going off for casting next week. Until we get a quote from the caster, we won't be able to set the retail price. I believe the guns will be packed individually, given the number of parts and the PE included, but that may change once we have a look at the masters. The torpedoes will probably be packed in pairs.

That sounds scary and expensive. I would thnk one piece resin to do block. A small brass tube for barrel, and 3 or 4 pieces of PE per gun. Shouldn't run more that a few bucks a gun, package a set of 4 for around $15 US. I've got a feeling that each gun will probably run more than $10 each with too may little fiddley pieces the way you are describing
