Well could not resist joined up for this don't know what I will build yet, but I have been eyeing one of those container ships in 1/400 (I think). Gives me a reason to go out and buy it then get building.

I knocked back a free Amati Titanic kit because it didn't have guns!

It just so happens when I was buying those 1:1200 kits last fall I picked up a cruise liner in one of those bulk deals on ebay. So I guess I'll join this campaign as it wil take me about a weekend to complete it.. I built one of those large scale Titanics once and hated it.

I sat there scratching my head wondering what floaty boaty thingy I could possibly have that didn't have some knd of weapon on it. DOH!
Then (happy grin) I remembered this! Woohoooo! Perfect reason to build it.

Great timing. Count me in. Picked this up on eBay.
I've been planning on adding some PE to this little kit and practicing some oil painting techniques the Miamijayhawk shared with me a few weeks ago.
I intend to make her into a "grubby" little workhorse tug.

Or, I may convert the Fireboat from the Waterfront Four kit. Haven't decided yet.

Hey all,
I was planning to do the Revell H320 US Navy Hospital Ship Haven; I believe it’s in 1/400. The guy on e-bay wants 110.00 dollars for this. I'm not paying that much. Does any "Model Shipwright's" have this ship or maybe one that’s comparable to this? I would even go to 1/700 (yes gunny I said 1/700 scale) scale.

Frank,
I've got a heap of Revell hospital ships in my stash. I'll undercut that guy by a hundred bucks.
PM me if you want one.
Rick
And btw, I'm in for the campaign.

Mike, the Campaign starts the same time we will be at Telford. But we will still have five months to complete the project.
Please dont forget to sign-up we need ten participants to get the Campaign off the ground!

Right second thought it wont be the container ship, I'm going to go for one of those Revell DGzRS Arkona SAR ships.
Harry will you have a stand at Telford? If so I will have some cash burning a hole in my pocket ready to spend with you.

Well, since I have 4 sampan kits, I'm sure I can find something unarmed.
But I do like the idea of a raft..... Hmmmm Tom Sawyer - Huck Finn anyone?
