I'm trying to make a fabric flag submit to keeping in a "blown by wind" shape, but it keeps going back to straight. Any ideas on how to make a ~1/2" flag stay in a specific form? Hair spray maybe? Will that affect the colors? Thanks.

madwolf,
I have always liked putting a thin peice of foil(like foil from a gum wrapper) in between two peices of paper. You can form it to the way you like and it will stay in what ever shape you put it in.

Starch is a good one, another option is a “fixative” sold in art supply for pastel and charcoal artwork. It comes in spray can, mat as well as gloss.
