It does seem like the manufacturers are seeing that full hull is the way to go.

Especially with these big ships, what is most impressive is the amount of steel and iron that is bellow the waterline!

I must say, looking at the detail of those 700 scale is impressive. Looks like a real chain for the anchor. Never liked it when you had to glue the two halves together for the hull even though 95 % of it you can't see unless you lift the ship up.
