Just wondering how extensive the Revell kit has been supported? Is the kit still too new? I've found Nautilis model's offerings but nothing else. Admittedly I'm an armor guy so not too familiar with the world of sub modeling...

There are a couple of PE sets and several small figure sets out there. WEM and Eduard did PE and CMK does the figures. I am not sure if it is Nautilas or CMK that has several deck and tower gun stuff. as time goes by and more and more folks pic the kit up more and more AM stuff will show. Don't thnk the Gato is going a well as the Type VII did when it hit the market. Price probably has a lot to do with it. You could wheel and deal a Type VII for under $50, the Gato is closer to $85 and $35 buys a lot of accessories. and then again as w know too well in Armor.....German sells better.

Thanks guys, wasn't aware Eduard had a PE set (many as it turns out) for the Gato! Got one heading this way. Now if someone did a low cost 5" replacement for the 4" that comes with the kit...(Nautalis' is a bit pricey at $25!)

Mario,
I'll be sending an order for the gato pointy insert soon. I know you make the template for the vent holes(sorry unsure of the right term). But do you make a template for the bottom holes?

Hi Thanks, If your going to buy a Plug I recommend #2 , and let me know what sub you want so I can give the correct and number of gun lockers & parts. For the bottom hull holes I do have the patterns for different yards & types , but we never produced them for stencils. I felt that they would not be accurate since most boats may have different altering holes anyway. Mario
