I used the glue to attach the scratch built prop blades on the hub of the CSS David. I brought the kit to work to show some of the guys there, on the way home, one of the blades got caught on my umbrella. All the blade did was flex and pop back in place. Had it been attached with CA, it would have popped off.

I don't know about the glue but I could sure use one of those gators to hold the pe for me while I'm glueing

The stuff works, and works well, guys...it truly is an adhesive, which has true bonding properties, with a great amount of strength and flexilbility...most glues have either one or the other, rarely both...Cyanoacrylate glue has a low shearing strength, thus, as Gator said above, his prop would most assured have popped off if he used Cy...trust me, I'm not knocking good ol super-glue, but now there's an alternative, which just may be better, for us modelers...

I love new stuff, and being able to try this product out was a real treat...I do believe that this can be shipped anywhere, as it is a non-volatile product...Gonna have to wait for the gator to wake up and give you the final answer, though...

Kenny sent me a sample to give to Keith who rns the Hobby Annex store here in Dallas. I had 3 days to play around with it before I brought it in to Keith. It works with plastic on plastic, though I wasn't too happy with the drying time or the tackiness. I then went metal to metal...and that got a BIG WOW! from me. Lastly I stuck the metal PE I had glued onto plastic and once again, the big WOW!! Brought it into Keith he also said wow, then we ran a water test to see if it disolve like Elmer's... Of course it didn't, so he now wants to stock it. Better get ahold of it soon because as word gets out this stuff it may become hard to come by. At least I hope this happens. Kenny sent a PM with Keith Contact info. Man I sure hated to give up that sample, but a deal is a deal.

I've got one question about the glue. How does it do with painted metal or plastic? One issue I've had ever since I was a kid was not being able to get paint off of areas to be glued, and having items fall off because of it. Any data on this?

Good question, Rodger...Personally, didn't try this test, but, I will tonight...I always paint my PE after I glue (although many paint before, or at least prime) so this is a very valid query...thanks mate!

Rodger, it should hold up fine on painted surfaces. That's the nature of the polymer. Mark's test should confirm this.

Hi gator,
Been using it for my USS KIDD commission build for the US Embassy here in warsaw and must say,very pleased indeed.
It gives you more wiggle room and just enough time to get right but not enough for the wrist ache to set in
Found that the those micro brushes are ideal for application and better still you can still wash it out after half an hour or so.
Good product in short and very happy with it.

Here is a tip guys, here in Dallas we have discovered it doesn't like ammonia. So if you want to remove the glue because of some mistake you have made and the glue has set, put a bit of ammonia on it and you can remove the old glue and do whatever it was that you wanted. A super-super product. It makes the nightmare of adding those itty bitty gun shields to all those 20mm guns so much easier. It has tack and dries slow enough that I can dip in my tool and get about 6 of the shields on the guns at a time done.
