I was wondering if it was just my computer or not. I thought maybe I hadn't gotten the memo. Looks very nice.

I like it, only thing that I did find was one tread that I opened had the background to the text in dark grey which made it very hard to read.
Other than that I think it makes the treads more....dynamic.

Luciano,
Darn right impossible for most I would say!
Whenever you see something odd like that on a web site you should try F5 or better yet CTRL + F5 to force clear your cached files.
That will fix it usually.
Thanks for the feedback on the new look!
Cheers,
Jim

Ahhh yes, Mr. Starkweather, you never cease to amaze me...how can you take something great and make it better?

Still going to take some getting use to but its much better then yesterday.
Just one quick question (and not really needed but.) Would it be possible to move the Users countries flag to the left just a bit? Just looks to be crowded right up against the text with lots of room off to the left.
Not that it would really mater its just something I noticed.

Well.. it looks different...
I still prefer the old fashion way... This way threads are break very hard and the space ocupied by the user details makes you scroll much down with a simple 5 or 6 replies...
But I can get used to it - the juice is still here!
And a good thing to be away was "User says" as watermark on the top of the reply

I guess I'm in the same boat as Rui, I prefer the old way. Just easier to scroll through to me...a little less confusing, and any info I wanted on the poster was sitting right there I didn't have to sideslip the display to read something. But as time goes by I'm sure I'll get as used to this format as the other.

Hi Jim,.
I think it's better now, like everything you get used to it, very funky.
I liked the idea of the buttons either at the top or bottom of the post but I think they may have changed again. What I REALLY miss is the link to latest posts. If I'm in one forum I want to go directly to the latest posts in that forum and not have to route myself through the home page or all site posts every time I have replied to something, that's a real pain.
One thing I'm not too keen on is the powerpoint type presentation of the pics in articles/reviews/news etc. Fine have a nice opening at the beginning and close of the selection, but it just annoys me kicking in for every shot especially when there are a bunch of pics. It just wasts time, something that is always in short supply.
Also why does the edit facitily disappear after a seond post? If I sport a typo after the event I want to be able to correct it.!!! It would also be useful to be able to edit the post title.

Alan,
I think (and correct me if you see something different), that the edit post feature goes away after a set amount of hours (24?) have passed. This is a common feature in more advanced forums.
Also the Latest Post link was not changed in this round of changes. It's marked as "THIS SITE" or "NETWORK" on the upper and lower part of any topic.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,
Thanks for that info about the edit button.
Yip the latest posts Tab takes you to the network listing and not the forum listing as it used to. That's what I meant, you sort of have to drive around the block to get back to all the forum posts. In the old system latest posts went directly to the latest posts in the forum you were looking in. At least that's what seems to be happening with me.
Cheers
