Good morning Model Shipwrights.

It's a balmy 79 degrees here at the news desk with a 40% chance of rain.
Looks like the grass is going to get another feeding.

Taking a look around the site...
Ed Sarao has some update photos of his 1/35 PT boat. Very nice Ed.
Ed's PT

Sean Ford wants to know what you like about military small craft. Surf on over and sound off there.
What do you like?

Gunny's got a poll question on the new forums layout. Cast your vote.

And finally, check out the progress on the Riverine campaign. Nice work guys.

So, now it's your turn to show and tell. What did you do this weekend? Did you get any bench time? Was your weekend filled with honey-dos? How are the campaign builds going? Leyte Gulf, Military Small Craft, Riverine?

Sound off mateys!

Hi Kenny,

saw Ed's PT Boat, looking excellent. Gave my 2ps worth to the What Do You Like Question.

A good past week/weekend for me. 3 projects got finished. The interior of the Lh had the last of the furniture added:

The 20mm got finished:

The Coal Crane got finished and I had a lot of fun with the gun tower idea

and I got a fair bit of work done on some of Pete Morton's excellent N African Tankers

So it's been a productive week and weekend.

Just converting an old Tamiya Tanker into an RN Beach Landing Officer with Sea Boots today for a bit of fun.

Oh, and addded some decals to my Chruchill AVRE.

Cheers

I still have to take pictures, which I'll post on my blog, but I got most of the deck houses, bridge, rear control station, etc, of The Sullivans done. I'm also working on a review of the kit. I kind of have a love hate relationship going on with it. I was lucky to get anything done at all on her. My wife had me working for her on Saturday, and it was supposed to last until Sunday as well, but she called it off.

My club meetng was Saturday and I brought my Huey in for show and tell. It gota very positive reaction so I guess I built it pretty good. I still haven't decided what to do with it yet.(Stand alone or diorama) so I haven't weathered it/ treated it (chipping--repair panels--rubbed off paint) yet. I think I got Keith interested in doing the Riverine campaign. He had a PIbber kit and as an ex Navy Seal and world class dio maker would be agreat addiion to the campaign. Worked on my T-34/85. Finally complete except for paint job etc. Started the jeep kit, then kind of hankerin to tackle the 350 NC.

Hey all,

I was working this past weekend so not any bench time. Today I got some bench time in, started scratch work on twin .50 cal mounts for the vosper plus I glued down the exhust on the vosper. I received a great model in the mail (thanks MSW) and a forum member got ahold of a 1/350 USS. Arizona for me. I also won a USS Montrose and a USS New Jersey on e-bay. My stash is growing so I need to get building.

Ahoy Shipmates

Its winter here and it was raining as usual.

I am heavily involved in my kids winter sport (rugby) I coach.

I got to do some work on my Airfix E Boat. I did some finishing on the depth charges I will organize some pictures shortly.

Only one small incident thought they were glued put a little pressure on them to put their cage on and they flew everywhere and I lost one for several hours. They kinda exploded like the real thing.

Man that stressed me as I looked and looked everywhere. LOL But I found it.

Regards

Sean
