Crossing over with the wingnuts' modeling genre, here is a new figure set from
Eduard that will for sure to brighten up and add accuracy to your next 1/48 scale WWII US Navy diorama or vignette...

Gunny,
Now this is something we could all use ! Especially if we could get Eduard to pantograph these down to the various scales. There is a definite need for some naval figures in the smaller scales with the growing popularity of the hobby.
With any luck, it will happen in the future ! With my fingers crossed....
Take it easy, Bruce

Hmmm. I might just have to rescale my 5" gun project to 1/48.

Could start building 1/48th scale US Navy aircraft.
Just to stock that 1/48th scale carrier coming soon from Italeri.

I was trying to figure out what naval kit came out in 48th scale. Then seeing the fig's relized they were for aircraft. Next time we do an Aircraft Carrier related campaign, we have something that would encourage the aviators to do dios and join campaign.

I was with Steve, trying to figure out any 1/48 ship kits.
Seems to me the armor guys could also use these as mechanics for 1/48 armor. Not in dungarees but with green uniforms they could pass as mechanics in a motor pool.

Hobby Boss actually makes a 1/48 LCM that some of these might work well with. One problem though -- is it me or are the figures shown in the box top illustration completely different from the ones that are actually included in the kit? I myself would prefer to have the figures from the box top -- better chance of using them in something other than a plane diorama.
