I am looking for information on how to model water for a pair of Civil War ironclads. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Jim,
I don't know how to link stuff in the site but go to the feature section and look up the article "Making a Water Base, Step-by-Step" by kenny Loop(gator) that should give you a good starting point.

No problem, Jim...we're very fortunate to have alot of talented modelers in our ranks, who have taken the time to prepare these excellent "how to's" for all of the community...there are alot of good features here onsite, and we're always on the lookout for more!
Cheers,
~Gunny
