Hi Kym

I just looked your version of the Victory up online, a great looking kit and lots of work by the looks of it.
It will be worth it

Have you got any photos?

All the best

Here's the progress so-far Vic. Actually, today was a bit of a back-step, I had to undo all the shroud lines as I forgot to paint the blocks.

Hi Kym

Thanks for the photos. That’s a magnificent kit and beautifully done.
I can see why you need such a big workshop.
What paints do you use on your wooden kits?
I haven’t worked with wood before so it’s all going to be a big learning curve.
Don’t forget a photo when it’s finished.

All the best

Vic

Vic,

Great looking build. I have always been interested in the wooden ships (Old Ironsides----fav) but haven't taken the plunge yet....maybe soon.

Hi Murdo

Thanks for the comments but I think you're looking at Kym's Victory.
Mines right at the very top and what you see there is only a test fit. I've hardly started
Thanks anyway mate.

Catch you later

Oy mate, that is bloody awesome. I build submarines these days which pale next to this. I'm amazed!

Cheers

Vic - you ARE going to do running rigging, too? It's looks like such a nice kit, you have to! Waiting for pix... Ohm and as for Pete V, he is mad but that's OK, he does brilliant work.

Rab - you ARE (ARE) doing running rigging - it's bloody near-fullsized, you'll have to. Beautiful job!

Good hunting to you both! Er, oops, um.,....Fair Winds!

Oh yes, I plan to do the rigging. It wouldn't look right without it. I reckon it'll drive me mad but that will probably help

Mad as a hatter but good as gold. Really good bloke to have as a friend and as you say, he turns out excellent work and in all areas of modeling. He's my walking refference book.

I'll post progress but it will be slow

All the best

Wink & Vic

Your only calling me mad because the voices don`t talk to you.

Wink, this name calling wouldn`t be because the English dispatched your adopted countrymen from the Rugby world cup would it.

Wink, the ship will be fully rigged with sails set and fully manned. Here's a photo of the main gundeck with some crew, I just wish I could find an Admiral Nelson in 1:72nd.
