Is it just me or does it seem like these boats are taking a long time to build? HMS Astute took six and a half years from laying down to launch, then another year to enter service? Is that typical now days? I'm just comparing how it took, I think, under three years from launch to service for ships like the New Jersey for example.

Good article! I am looking forward to seeing 1:1 NTN grow and become a resource. My rating of the article is one star short due to my mouse slipping. Will the articles on current and future 1:1 be updated and expanded as things develop? With these being so long in the yard I imagine some of the systems may change, at least by ship (boat) if not by class.

Aye, that was my original thoughts...my resources should allow this style of reporting, as well...thanks for the feedback!
