I do not really follow yours group association so do not be pissed off with me
I came by because i actualy make ship models too but wooden ships. Scale is 1:58
My first one was the America from Constructo nice ship to start with, learn the basic.
Now i am making the Prince Neufchatel find it pretty uge
Lenght 101 cm of 39 and 3/4 inches
Height 65 cm of 25 and 1/2 inches
Width 39 cm of 15 and 1/3 inches
I have now a break with that ship it take somtimes too much energy but you might understand what I mean there.
So my question is: Any one also addict to wooden ships, might be nice to hear about.

Hi,
I also build wooden ships.
Now I'm building a fishing boat 1/35 - MARE NOSTRUM - from Artesania Latina and next I've the VIRGINIA PILOT BOAT 1/100 also from AL to build.
Very nice models. I use them to remember my background - I'm a merchant marine officer - and to have diversification from plastic AFV.

If I ever have lots of money, I will BUY a wooden ship model collection... I tried one once and after having piece after piece break while cutting them, I gave up. I am sure they are much inproved since them, but the ones I would build would take me years you have my evy

I'm with Blaster. Someday, (isn't it funny how we all live for someday), when I have enough time, money, skill, and most of all patience I will ATTEMPT a wooden ship. Until then I will just have to drool over pictures and dream.

Techniek is the same, yoga, punshing ball, screaming room :-) :-) :-)
but the end effect is great better than sex :-)
Seriously it take me a year at least to finish a boat but right now my laste one is on the shelf nearly finnished but not touch since laste 2 years. Might happend one day, month but 1/35 model as got the preority it is cheaper but the challenge is as big.
