Bob,
Thanks for the offer on the ships. I would like the Adams info scanned. I plan to also build one of those this year if I can squeeze it in. The DDG2 kind of goes with a theme for me, same name.

Hi guys,

I've started my 1/700 HMS Liverpool. This is the first ship I've built for many years and I've never built anything so small. 1/600 Airfix about 30 years ago was the last time.

Should I airbrush the whole in light gray then do the decks, then add the PE railings? If so then what can use to mask the sides and superstructure?

I'm really not sure how to go about painting something so small without making a mess.

I am also working on a 1/700 ship now. One possible way to do it is to paint the hull first, then also prime and paint the PE. Do the deck colors then add the PE.

Also try to get any small details that will need to and maybe cover then with some liquid mask.

I am finding a small scale ship is a good deal more than I first thought it was, but I an determined to get it finished.

Alright shipmates, time to get out those kits and start building. Today starts the Cold War Tin Cans Campaign. Don’t forget you can start a build blog for your ship just be sure to include your name and the campaign name in the title ie, “Goldenpony’s Cold War Tin Can”

Hopefully we will all have fair winds and following seas for our builds!
