Let’s see, it was a boring weekend, did a bunch around the house but not much else. I was able to get my DVD burner going and also get my laptop working correctly again. Spent no time on any builds, but need to badly.

Yes, it was a plain old boring weekend.

Spent the weekend moping after the Alabama loss. Nice weather and I didnt go out except to pick up the mail. Got the primary assembly done on the Widow. Need to either find some thin red decal strips or get some pinstripping tape to do some markings and then get some glossy black to spray the entire airplane. For an old kit, the fit hasn't been too bad. Just a minimal amount of seam adjustment

Ahoy Kenny

It was a mixed up old weekend indeed.

First up it was a very very productive one for lots of reasons.

I walked into my modelling room in my barefeet and I stood on a bit of hard plastic it was the missing part from my E-Boat. It was indeed a great find.

I found after a full on week last week my eyes on Saturday were very sore and highly irrtitated. I think it was tiredness and the extra work of 1/700 modelling.

But I am pretty sorted on the Eboat and I will start gluing and painting.

Spent time with the family, kids sport and got some tasks done for SWMBO.

The big news I got the motor back into my 1955 Chev and got her running. Lot of work but a fine result.

Cheers

No modeling this weekend.

Worked on the shed and spent some time in the wood shop.
Managed to rig up a sanding disk on the wood lath down there.

Oh and Kenny you didn’t happen to go into the sanding business now did you?
Found these at the local lows.

Not a bad weekend all in all. Raked a bunch of leaves on Saturday. We've got one sad little tree, that hasn't has leaves on it for about a month, and yet I managed to fill up three large garbage bags in the back yard alone. How exactly does that work? Afterward I got to watch Air Force on national TV. Of course the only time the networks pay them any attention is when they play Notre Dame. That was a fun game to watch, sorry Irish. NOT.

I quite a bit done on the life boat for No Guns Allowed. http://photos.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php/cat/20749 I used up the last of my cheap primer I bought at Wal Mart so I went down to pick some more up. They don't carry it any longer! I had to go to an auto parts store and paid two and half times as much. Haven't the Walton family got enough of my money that they can keep stocking the cheap stuff I need?

The Broncos even won, miracles of miracles. If only Vinateri had made that final F.G. to knock of San Diego the weekend would have been perfect.

BTW, Kenny, the president of the local IPMS region sent us an email about your raffle a while back. Hope everything goes well with it.

Greetings all,

No modelling for about the last 5/6 weeks due to a house move and new job. I saw Gunny's post about sending in pics but there was no reply button showing so couldn't post!

Nothing much to report, I've been in an armour phase for a while and still am lol, lol. However, I have an armoured dozer and deep wading carrier that I want to make as possible passengers for the Italeri LCM 3 (you may remember the M7 was too big and inappropriate), so I'll upgrade the boat with the spare British fittings I have at the same time so that should get me back to some navy stuff.

At the moment I'm trying to upgarde some old kits I have, and finsih off some small but time consuming bits on a few other builds. Will post a few pics when I get to it.

Don't have as much time to visit these days.

Cheers

Al
