Well, I think I am going to just say ditto again for this weekend. I just did some work around home and once again did nothing on my models. We are getting our place ready fro family to come over and ready for when my wife gets her surgery after the first of the year.

I did how ever add another kit to my stash, but I just cannot seem to get any time in at the work bench. Most of that is my fault since I also got my X-box 360 and new TV so I really am hooked on that right now.

My poor Bulls are off to a rotten start. Maybe they can pull it together and do better later on. The Dolphins are hopeless this year, I am ashamed to admit I am a fan of them. First they are having a rotten year then they let Ricky Williams come back and he gets hurt.

On the future end of things I am gearing up to get my USS Scott ready for the Forgotten Sisters Campaign. Got the PE and AM items on order and coming in. Working out the display details for the ship. I am really looking forward to this one! I am also planning on attending the IPMS show in Atlanta in June so I need to get something ready for that as well.

just a bare minimal done this weekend...Widow and Bradley still getting tidbits done. Both are essentially done just some fnishng work and small parts to do Widow. The decals were a mess, I was able to salvage3 out of 4 of the national symbol ones, so that is as far as I'll do that one. Bradley....I need to add some more junkola and a few markings to it, then I'll weather it to be complete. I might shut down after that until after the holidays, or something may get me fired up to do.

Ahoy Shipmates

Busy old weekend for me.

My E-Boat is languishing in the dockyard untouched.

No benchtime but I had the chance to add to my stash more to follows on this.

Cheers

I haven't been able to put paint or glue to plastic in two weeks, and I'm going through withdrawals. I have to be studying for a test for a required license at work. For two weeks every minute not working or sleeping was studying. I finally passed the stupid thing this afternoon. My plan now is to take the text book, which my boss assures me I'll never look at again, and have a nice bonfire in the back yard!

We got our first decent snow fall of the year this weekend, which seriously ruined one of my plans. I was going to go onto the roof to fix the Christmas lights I put up last weekend. I had put too many strings on one cord and popped the fuse. The snow kind of changed that. Plan two was to clear the leaves out of the new gutters I put up last summer. I was nearly done when the ladder slipped out from under me. I was only about 9 feet in the air and managed to land right so I got away with only some bruised shins.

I have high hopes for this weekend, but who knows.

Rodger, your favorite movie isn't "Christmas Vacation" by any chance, is it?

Hi Guys,

Still on the armoured theme at the moment, working on 2 old Bren Carriers and a very old Churchill.

Hi Kenny and Bruce

Thanks guys. The Churchill was the one and only Britiish Tank I ever made before before I got back into modelling and I wanted to see if I could uograde it and make something decent out of it. Both the Bren Carriers are also old kits and again I'm upgrading them as a prelude to some new kits, some of which are destined for LCM 3 Loads as deep wading versions.

Sort of practice and re-cycling at the same time.

Cheers

Hey Alan,

Finally got my hands on a 1/35 LCM3 from Trumpeter. Got it for $20.00. I'm gonna put a deuce and a half dump truck in it.

Hi Kenny,

Nice one, a duce and a half would be good. There are some good USN Navy figures around so crewing it will be easier than a British one. There are also some DUKW Drivers in life preservers that might fit the truck. Look forward to seeing the build. U Models have some neat new USN Crew they have done for the ELCO boat but would also suit the LCM and they have an accesories set now too which I'm sure you know about.

Cheers
Al
