Ahoy, mates!

2007 is just about a wrap, we've had a GREAT year here at MSW, lot's of good modeling, and talks of such, here at our corner of cyberspace, for sure!

So, which leads me to this next question....quite simply, what are you planning to build in 2008?

Personally, I have planned thus far, Zvezda's Borodino in all of her glory, for our "Pre-Dred" campaign...so how about it? Sound off, tell us your plans for this up-coming new year!

Hello Gunny and everyone else.

At present on the bench I have:-

A resin 1/72 scale WWI Holland Boat of the KuK Navy , I really hope to finish that during 2008, been on the bench for 1 year now, I am not enjoying that build.

A 1/350 " Akula"

A 1/32 Scale SPAD XIII, this one has also taken some time but is nearly done.

I would like to get a 1/144 scale VIID U-Boot finished during 2008 along with a few other ships/boats, at least one Tank (Sherman Firefly) as well as a 1/32 scale aircraft which is probably going to be a Ju-87.

I would like to wish all at MSW a Very Happy New Year, you are a great bunch.

I'm holding off doing any large projects like the HOOD and BR52 until I figure out if I am going to move or get lucky and find a job here. Hopefully I'll get something lucrative here and I can also purchase that 350 scale Alabama I've been drooling over. I am sure I'll build quite a few tanks and some off scale ships, but look for a smaller output from me this year. Last year I completeed 18 models Fritz is taking up a lot of my time and probably will for 6 more months. You ought see my hands. I'm working eral hard on the no biting and nipping. Slowly but surely I am gaining ground there and once the baby teeth disappear the injury will be considerabley less.

In the dockyard, luckily, just starting the Shangri-La.

My model railroad RIP track has a few DL&W lightweight cars & a parlor car conversion to a lounge. Mostly doing interior work.

Hello from an old aquaintance,

After taking 2007 off from modelling, (that would be building... not buying! ) I'm thrilled to have this self-imposed exile over with. This is what I plan on concentrating on...

350 Nagato... have the P.E. sets and I'm hoping for a set of barrels (primary, secondary, and AA guns). I've already sliced the hull to waterline.

350 Takao... plan on purchasing the Lion Roar P.E. and turned barrel set. This too will be a water line cut.

700 Dreadnought... I've had this wonderful resin kit for over a year, but just recently picked up a set of 12" turned barrels.

I'm sure there will be plenty of new models out this year that will catch my fancy, but I'll do my best to stay concentrated on these three models throughout this year in an effort to complete them.

Happy New year!

Hi Guys,

On the Naval side it's more work on Pier 51 and a revisiting of the original boats I made to get some loads organised for them. I have a stack of figures almost done for the LCA and want to make a few new crew for it.

I donl' think I'll get the MTB started, way too many other things going on in the armoured/truck department but hope to lay a little ground work later on in the year for the Pier and a few other projects.

Have fun in 2008,

Cheers

Al

I have a couple armor kits to finish and then onto the ships

1. Admiralty Model Works D182 Schleswig Holstein 1/700
2. Dragon USS Scott DDG-995 1/350
3. Either the Dragon Karl or Leopold for the Big Guns Campaign I am running
4. Then what ever else I plan to build.

2008 will be a busy year for me right at the start, but I hope it will slow down some later on. That way I can get some nice kits built, both armor and ships
