I think I am going to try and find something really unique for this one. I don't know what yet, but I know there is something out there to catch my eye.

I think I have narrowed down the ship I plan to build for this one. The SMS Ostfriesland. She was sunk by the US in 1921 while testing bombing techniques.
I picked this one becasue my family comes from that region of Germany. So, I thought I would pick that one.

Hi Bruce,
It's best to wait for the campaign to begin before making an official post, mate, so we don't lose the thread in the coming months...we can continue the discussions here in this post, though, until then...

Could you please verify the start date for the World War I campaign? The verbage says May 15th, but the numerals on the graphic indicate 3/15/09.
Thanks!

For my part, I have been counting off the days since the campaign was approved.

Right now, it's all about acquiring reference material, supplies, and figuring out which battle scene works best. I've acquired all the spare parts needed for the German battlecuisers. And, with the camo campaign starting just a fortnight later, I can spread the creative load.
As Dorothy said, "Dreadnoughts, battlecruisers, and U-boats, oh my!"

I am not even close to being ready for this. And then add in the fact I am loosing my modeling space for a few months, the prospect of getitng something finished really looks slim for a while.
But fear not fellow shipmates, I shall be here to cheer everyone on!
