The weekend was spent working on a Panzer I. I know it’s not a ship, but I did do some work on ship related items as well. Work was done around home and a shopping trip was taken, but alas, no stop at any hobby stores.

I am not sure if I am looking forward to NASCAR yet, it just seems a little early to be starting. I am looking forward to more College basketball. UNC is looking good and ready to make another run at it all.

Don’t forget Valentine’s Day!

Hi Guys,

More work on the RMs for the LCM 3 and sorting some stores. Went down to London on Sunday for the Chinese New Year with the good wife and had a lunch in St James Park.

Good news in from Wee Friends on the 1/35 sailors so that's a nice start to the week.

Jim, bench time is bench time. I spent Saturday and Sunday working on the HMS Invincible build review for IPMS. I wish I could post photos of it. I can say that this kit has increased my scratch building techniques as I managed to bugger up all of the pe for both masts. Oh well, lessons learned.

Other than that I built my new photo box, which I'll do a SBS for here.

Well I finally started layng railing on my Yukikaze. Hope to finish her up shortly. Was ill this weekend. My security job had me on 3 different shifts and time schedules. The lead guy is a bit of an [auto-censored] and when I came in today had a write up for me. There were inconsistancies to what he said but, things get lost in the translation and when people complain about you they embellish it to make it seem like it is something. I told him I wanted a transfer to a new assignment because the mixed hours were screwing me up bad....which is really the reason. INterestngly enough, they added a new position to where I am at, so I will be working 2100 - 0500 pulling perimeter security. This is fine by me, nobody to screw with me and consistent hours. Of course it probably will only last a month or so until they get cameras put in, but by then I'll have 3 months in with company and stand a better chance of getting moved to a new account rather than sluffed off. In the meantime I'll just keep filling out unemployment claims even though I'll probably get like 4 or 5 dollars a week on it. They held back a week and once I hit 300, I'll get that week. So far I'm at $105.

I am looking forward to building my Invincible. I think after I finish my Panzer I might try to work that one in. I made a discovery today that really ruined my day, I bought the wrong friulmodel tracksfor my tank. I bought for an F but needed an A. That'll learn me to pay attnetion.

Looking forward to seeing the photobox.

Wife still very sick, not much at my end. Made a rookie mistake with the PT boat last week. Usually I use squadron white putty, but decided to top it off with some brushed Tamiya white primer, which is a "hot" primer. Time to prime the ship yet again, I thinned my enamel primer with... yes.. LACQUER thinner instead of the regular thinner (Lacquer I reserve for cleaning AB and brushes). Hit the PT boat, noticed MELTING of all the carefully sanded putty.. So this weekend I just worked on a StugIV for a bit (first armor kit), and organized my Charles F Adams DDG-2 build for the Tin Cans GB. Will do that for a bit then re-tackle sanding/putting the PT boat for the third time! Ohhh and still basking in the NY GIANTS win
Cheers
