Well, I tried without success to post this to News, soooooo....

Peter Hall burned the midnight oil over the weekend to finish the instructions, so we're now starting to ship our latest 1/350 kit, K3569 HMS Kittiwake:

Photobucket

Kittiwake was a Kingfisher-class Coastal Escort Sloop, and the kit, which can be built full-hull or waterline, can be built as any of the class. Most of them wore overall AP 507B for most of their service lives, as shown above for Kittiwake. However, the kit includes a colour profile of HMS Shearwater:

Photobucket

which wore Western Approaches camo. I've also found a photo of HMS Guillemot in the same WA scheme, but with a white bridge instead of blue.

These ships did ASW and escort duty in the North Sea, English Channel, and Western Approaches and saw heavy service.

Peter Hall did the master pattern based on plans from John Lambert, so you know it's good. Price is 51.02, and shipping is post-free worldwide. Pre-orders will be shipping first, so step right up....

Cheers to all WEM Crew

Hi Skipper,

We agree that a 1/700 Kingfisher would be nice to do, but with all that's on our plate right now it's not going to happen in the near future.
