In case you haven’t seen this, Jim Adams (goldenpony) has been sharing Navy lingo with his “Word of the Day” thread. This is a great and more times than not humorous look at the language of the US Navy.

Hi Guys,

Skipper, thanks for the pics some great looking boats there. The Sub in the ice was a neat idea, surprised I hadn't seen one in that setting before.

For myself, watching the snow and taking it easy with a little work on the carriers

Don't you just love holidays.

UNC, UNC, UNC, UNC!!!!

Sorry I was just so happy that Duke lost. (Sorry Duke Fans!)

Finished my chickens pen. Then had to catch one that got out. Game chickens are such a pain when they get away.

I opened a model box yesterday, took out the pieces, then put them back.

Alan - Nice carriers you have there.

Ahoy Kenny

Great Easter break with endless summer days again.

I had plans to do some modelling but chores/tasks/family got in the way.

I did however invest in a new Excel modelling knife and blades.

I did start and successfully finish a massive non modelling kitset - a new bbq grill needed to be assembled. Six hours plus work phew what a mission.

Cheers

After a 2 month doldrums phase, I m slowly buy surely getting interested in model projects again. I have been on this simple halftrack for the past 6 weeks. This past week I did quite a bit of work on it including some scratching. It is that German rocket truck from Italerie and they only include 10 rockets which you fit into the launcher. I took those and put them inside then using some shaped spruce did a half dozen more for the inside. For the launcher, I just had to have the ends sticking out the rear then I dropped in some good old Elmers at the other end to fill the slot in. A little more work then I can paint the sections , add the indidvidual track, and do a final assembly. Might go and do a 350 scale large ship after that. Most of the kits have the PE and goodies I want stashed in the box, so might finally do the Hornet or the New Jersey this time around.

Hey Kenny I thought you would post the NCAA scores. I'm not a basketball fan except for the NCAA's It is a joy to play the Bracket Mania game

Managed to get a little more done on my 1/35 M47 Patton and started on a German halftrack for a new dio.

Also managed to drag the table saw down to the shop. May even see if I can get to guards to work on it again.

Happy Easter all! Couple hours of bench time, nothing to stop the presses. Some family medical issues and work stuff will keep me very busy next couple weeks, do not foresee getting much modelling done! On the bright side, BASEBALL season starts soon! Cheers all....
