I am currently drawing up plans for a 'Verpostenboot' (WWll German patrol craft) in 1/48, so I am looking for details in this scale. I've already found some at Loyalhanna, but would like more specific 1/48 details and am tired of searching and being directed to porn sites that won't close . In particular I am looking for Flak 20mm's in single or twin mounts (Oerlikon's will substitute), ladders and inclined stairs, and various other fittings for a large scale small boat. Preferably from a local supplier anywhere in North America. Any suggestions?

You have chosen a difficult scale. I am unaware of any ships / boats in this scale. You might try searching Armor or aircraft parts. Probably end up scratching most of what you want. You could also try dropping down to 72nd where there would be a wealth of parts (especially the am for the U-Boot) or bumpng up to 35th where you can get a lot of armor parts that you could modify into what you need.
