Good Morning Shipwrights. It's Monday, March 31, 2008.

Today’s wrap-up will be a short one. I hit the ground running and haven’t stopped yet. I’m leaving the reminders for the Naval Trivia and the Word of the Day. That’s all for now. Back to work for me.

Bruce Miller’s (grayghost666) MSW Naval Trivia Contest is still going strong. Rules are simple, be the first to answer the question and you get to ask the next one. Please surf on over and join the fun!

In case you haven’t seen this, Jim Adams (goldenpony) has been sharing Navy lingo with his “Word of the Day” thread. This is a great and more times than not humorous look at the language of the US Navy.

Hi Kenny,

More work on the 2nd carrier:

and some good news from Pete that he is working on another RN chappie.

Didn't realise that the clocks changed here at the weekend so left for work this morning and though the roads are rather busy for 5.30am when of course it was 6.30am

We changed time 3 weeks ago. I got the tracks on and the primary color on my halftrack. Need to do a final section asembly add all the tools and little bitties. weather and decal, and I can put another one down as complete. Right now I am behind. I have bought 4 models this year and have another on pre-order and this will only be #3 completed. Need to get cracking. I have so many models to build and only 1 lifetime to do it in.

Well lets see.
Got a little work done on a new German halftrack.
nothing ship related.

Got myself another new toy Thursday so I’ve been playing with it.

Haven’t even hurt myself yet with it.

As quoted above, life/work got in the way, probably wont be able to build anything or be very active in here until May. Good news is that wife is motoring on a wheelchair, will have surgery in 2 weeks. I have only burnt one dinner (the oversalted pasta did not count) and messed up only 2 laundry loads. Baseball season started, go NY MEts! Cheers all

hello all,
this last weekend Miss Mary's system did a total crash, see lost 100 gig's of files to included over 10,000 photo's to included the ones for the San FRan review.so we spent 2 days getting my system up to run on thhe net.with cables every where we are calling it the Franken-Web.it is very un stable so far,but i can get online.started me Panzer 1 for the blitzkrieg campaign.it is in 1/35 scale with "Magic tracks".so it is going to be fun making them.

on the weather front,Thursday we are to get 1-2 feet of snow.the nice and heavy wet stuff.so i get atleast 2 days of bench time,no going out unless the house is on fire.
hope all have a good and SAFE week.
cheers,
Bruce

Forgive me for a late post.

I watched UNC roll into the Final 4!!!

More work on the never ending Chicken pen. Those darn birds are a ton of work, but fresh eggs rock!

I did get the paint removed from my German destroyer. Now, back to the paint booth for her.

I did manage to get some bench time Sunday. I made some good progress on my 1/700 HMS Invincible for IPMS review. My birthday present arrived this week, Trumpeter's 1/350 Alabama. Yes!

I also managed to bugger up my knee Monday. I've got an MRI scheduled for tomorrow. I'll be interested to know what happened.

later...Gator
