Ahoy mates!

From our Far East news desk, look what surfaced at this year''s Shizuoka Model Show. Fujimi has brought yet another 1/350 test shot to make the large scale ship modelers drool. Check it out.

Fantastic news,...... there goes another $500! It is really scary when you think of the potential of releases in 350th scale. The big five, Fujimi, Hasegawa, Aoshima, Trumpeter and yes even Tamiya have exhausted the Japanese markets' 700th scale offerings ( I say this because, RN subjects,... as ignored as it has been, will never be a selling point in the Asian market) and have obviously turned to 350th scale. I myself am counting the days to seing the Fuso and Yamashiro!... but until then I'll be quite content with the current offerings. Bring em on boys!

Eventhough I haven't been into the ship-genre for very long, I quickly fell in love with the IJN Ise .. I just love the ½ Battleship ½ Carrier design .... so this is a very, very, very great day for me ..... I can now die a happy man ... well once I've bought and built the kit, that is

Actually I was just logging into the forum to tell the exact same news ... found it elsewhere.

Well poo-poo. I was hoping for a little air time. This is kit #2 on my all time want list. #1 is a Littorio class. With the Richeliu and the Repulse (#4 on the list) coming out this year, I will be going way over budget and will be spending years trying to get all the goodies and stuff I need to pt them together. I am now going to have to live another 20 years to get all I have accululated in my stash. #3 is a US cage mast BB and #5 is the Graf Spee.

These 350 releases are getting ridiculous... well, in 2 years my eldest is going to College, so I can convert her room to a ship display room

It certainly is a fantastic addition. The last photo is not of the hybrid, does anybody recognise it?
Aoshima's Kongo maybe?

No, it's Fujimi's next release in the Kongo class: the Haruna.

Blaster,
From your post can I infer that the Repulse will be released in plastic 1/350 later this year(ish)?
News of any other WW2 "Atlantic/Med" theatre ships being released in 1/350 'styrene would be welcome
TIA
