hello all,
i just got back from my LHS and bought the R.N. Pola in 1/350 scale by mini hobby models.they wanted only $15.00 for the kit.the decals show them printed in 1999.
so do my shipmates want me to do a review on this kit? it looks great from my first look, but i am not sure what interest their is in this type of ship.
cheers,
Bruce

Hi Bruce

Yes a review would be nice!
And consider that are a lot of persons who just read what we post, even without joining MSW, so... there will be someone interested in reading a good review

hello Rui,
thanks for the encouragement to do the review on the Pola.it is a 10 year old kit and from a company i have never heard of,so i was not sure if i should do it.
and it is the first Italian Heavy Cruiser from WW2 i have ever seen.there are alot of ship kits out there, but not many for the Italian Navy for either WW1 or WW2,which is to bad.
the Italian Navy in WW2 is a very intresting subject, and the ships were very well designed.
I will have Miss Mary take the photo's Saturday and get the review submitted by next week, hopefully.
thanks again.
cheers,
Bruce

I picked the same kit up a year or so ago. I think it was Tauro that originally releasd it a long time ago. NOt a bad looking kit, mine unfortuneatly had a small crease in the hull. I managed to bend it a bit, but when I get around to building it will have the clamp down the deck to try to hold it in place. Look forward to doing that Front deck striping. I just figure to add PE railing from left overs.

FWIW, Mini Hobby Models is an arm of Trumpeter, and the 1/350 Pola kit was pantographed up from the Tauro 1/400 scale kit that was the original.

hello John,
thanks for the info on the company.the decale shows Trumper 1999 printed on it.
i asked Wink to see if his company can make some flags for me to use on this model.
i have to see what size i want to use.any suggestions are welcome.
cheers,
Bruce
