CA-38 '44 has just arrived at Hobbylink Japan. I got my pre-order filled yesterday. Yahoooooo! Been in love with the 1944 version of the San Francisco since I first saw a small line drawing of her in the 1962 edition of Men, Ships and The Sea published by the National Geographic Society. Something about this ship fascinates me, don't know why, just does. Maybe the fact that she just looks 'right'.
It took 46 years for someone to make a kit of the San Fran '44 for me but it was worth the wait. Thank you Trumpeter.
The last few years have been 1/350 scale styrene ship heaven for us boomers. Man I love it!! More, more! How about a 1/350 Mogami or Fuso?

I got the '42 version back in Feb. Loren of GMM just released his San Francisco PE set so you will probably want to get that one . I think the next Japanese BB in line is the Hybrid Carrier ISE. But, I figure a Fuso will be released within a year give or take a few months.
