Hello, I was wondering if anyone had feedback on the idea of using the Lionroar Yamato update set (brass barrels etc) on the Tam. Mushashi. I'm not sure of the differences in the two, and was thinking It might be neccesary to kitbash the eduard and lionroar sets. In all honesty I'm a total armor slob, used to cast turrets and indi-link tracks so mercy from this community is greatly appreciated.
And yes I will be looking for extensive reference material so I wont have to badger people here all the time
Thanks all.

Hi Stoney,

Welcome to the dark side.

No reason why the Yamato barrels from Lionroar wouldn't work for your Mushashi, same goes for a lot of the other things in PE sets. There were a few minor differences between the two ships but nothing too awfully significant in the small scale ship lines. Tour about the model ship sites galleries on line and you will find a lot of good detail information as well as pictures to aid you in your quest for your battlewagon.

Don't be bashful about asking questions, we are a pretty gregarious lot here and I am sure someone will be able to help you out. Good luck on your project and send in your photos, we are a lot of lookie lous here.

Hey, thanks guys. Looking forward to starting this build, just moved into a new craftsman style house built in 1911, and that big beautiful fir mantle is BEGGING for a nice ship. (yeah I'll make sure it wont melt). Now its off to finish the fletcher that got me into all this small stuff. cheers!

Probably the entire set will work with the Musashi. The Yamato is pretty much the same, only more.

Steve is right- when t comes to barrels, the Yamato set should pretty much work as it had more AA guns than the Musashi, so you'll have extras if anything else. Of course, a Musashi set wouldn't work for the Yamato though, but that's a moot point. There are some minor differences between the two besides guns, but they're fairly negligible.
