anyone ever build this kit,it is a fletcher destroyer in 1 16 scale made by blue jacket i think? any info,is it a good quality kit? any reviews out there ? thanks rob

I do not reacall ever seeing a review of the kit. I know it is available, but really do not know much about it.

OK so wher are you going to put a 24 foot long model. A little big for the bathtub, maybe a big pool? I guess you could sit in it and if you don't motorize it take it on a canoe trip. I know a 35th scale Type VII sold for $2K what this one run. 8 - 10 K at least?

Well, actually 1/16th is one of the more normal standard ship scale for wooden models, LOA: 23 1/2 inches. I believe it translates as 1/16th inch equals 1 foot.
I've always had a liking for their 1/8 scale four piper.

Thanks fr the info Dave. I wondered why any company would be trying to sell a ship that scale and size. So I guess it is somewhere in the 200th range.
