Thanks,I have trouble sometimes posting those links, but it would be exciting having two IJN Carriers in the pipeline at the same time.

I wouldn't call either one in the pipeline as neither has been announced. We have heard strong rumors of Hasegawa doing the Akagi, but to my knowledge there has been no official announcement. I have heard price speculation in the $300 range.

Hi Steve, Hasegawa actually has officially announced the Akagi in 1/350. ModelArt #742 (Febraury 2008) shows the official announcement press junket. Lemme dig out the issue and I'll post a photo....

Okay here we go.. Sorry about the quality- I hammered this out in about five minutes.
Incidentally, note how they are also announcing what was then (December 2007) the upcoming triple deck 1/700 Akagi.

So, which one of those guys is Mr. Hasegawa?
Seriously, with Akagi on the ways, a quality 1:350 Shokaku is always welcome. She'll keep my 1:350 Taiho company!

Apparently both Aoshima & Fujimi are doing a 1/350 Shokaku.

well maybe with 2 companies doing the same kit, we might get a chance to pick up a Japanese carier for under $200
