Darren does very good work. His ships are a work of art. I picked up one of his HMCS Haidas this year. The resin and photo-etch is flawless and the colour coded instructions make assembly hassle free. He'll even custom make you a waterline hull if you so desire.

Now this is VERY timely!!! One of the things missing from my build of the Healy is the US flag. The one included in the Tamiya kit decals has 50 stars.

nice set. Would have loved to see some droopy national flags and ships ensigns as though the ship were sitting anchored at port

I understand and may do that separately at a later date. My preference, though, is to use decal setting solution. Use a small paint brush and put a small vertical line of the solution near the hoist. After it softens for a few seconds, you can droop the flag realistically. Several applications can give you a variety of effects, from a lot of wind, to very little. A lot of solution will give you a no wind droop straight down.

That's how I do it, anyway.

I like the droopy realism and the decal advice. If anyone works larger, AMP have fabric flags (propietary print method) in 1:125 to 1:25. We can do paper flags digitally printed to a commercial press.
