The maintenance guys at work were tossing some damaged acoustical tiles the other day. I think it may work well for 1/700 ships.

Whatcha think?

It could work!
Perhaps a coat with elmer's glue could seal those tinny holes?

Keep us posted

PS: Perhaps it would work for bigger scales, because of the "wave direction"... in 700th it could be a strange gale...

I think with a soaking of white glue to fill in holes it would make an excellent base for 350 ships in a harbor

I'll experiment with it. I was looking for something to work with in 1/700.

I think I can calm things down a bit with gel medium or white glue.

Um, great tip! One of my university colleagues works in animal communication acoustics and has a room covered with the stuff... Il lgo ask him for spare/older tiles and take a look!
