I would have bet on the Scharnhorst or Graf Spee before the Eugen. Still a reason to jump and click heels together.

Is this the new Trumpeter kit?

The stand doesn't look like a Trumpeter stand - Is this actually the Heller 1/400 kit?

Is this kit completed yet.? There are no railings up yet, the prop guards are neither deployed or stowed, the deployable bridge wings have no railings, and she's missing the middle 10.5cm mount.. Isn't there supposed to be another 4.1 inch AA twin turret in front of the aft torpedo tubes?
Is there a hole in the deck for it.?

Sorry!
But I am more interested in the accuracy or otherwise of the kit.
If asking the same questions offends, I apologise.

Hi Dave,
I'm going to help just a bit here, mate...to answer some of the questions posted on MW as well as here, yes, this is the new Prinz Eugen from Trumpeter Models, which will be unveiled completely at the upcoming show in Tokyo...of course, this is a pre-production image, and details have yet to be discussed, so to answer any questions on accuracy at this point, sorry, nothing yet, my friend.

Gaoyue (iamsu7) is an employee of Trumpeter Models, and has given us a little "teaser" here with this image, and we will have more on the subject once the official unveiling at the show has been accomplished...until then, well, we can only speculate as to what exactly the kit will be all about...

Now that in and of itself is pretty cool!
To know that the manufacturers are reading AND participating is a great thing!

I have been on automotive forums where employees of the manufacturers have been extremely stealth.

Just wanted to say hi to GAOYUE, since I have never personally met anyone from Trumpeter and only exchange e-mails with Jackson when I am working on box art for Trumpeter,

Glad to hear that Trumpeter is expanding even more into other nation's warships. This was totally news to me, but then I only know about which one I am doing art for at any particular time.

Cheers,

Mike Donegan
