At next month's Tokyo Hobby Show, Trumpeter are going to unveil a NEW Cruiser in 1/350th scale.

I don't, as yet, know any more, as they're keeping it under wraps. However, I should be getting images of this one as well....Be patient!

They wouldn't be counting the Prinz Eugene or is that considered already announced?

With Prinz Eugen out, completing the Denmark Strait action in 1:350, I could stand to see River Plate get the same treatment.

Who's up for a 1:350 Exeter?

Hi Jim!

So that means your town had a street named for Bell, Woodhouse, Parry, and even a Langsdorf Lane?

I believe there's a Porter County in Indiana where the town of Valparaiso is located, named for the captain and battle site of the USS Essex in 1814.

My vote is for Graf Spee....its German or possibly a Baltimore class based on the success of the S.F.

Hi Steve!

Rather than a Baltimore first, I hope Trumpeter would go retro from the San Francisco and produce the earlier treaty cruisers or even a Brooklyn.

Jim,
Have you any more news to give us about what 350 cruiser was unveiled at Tokyo?
Maybe you've posted it and I've missed it

With baited breath (wonder where that term originated)

You did see the post right above yours with the big photo of the Repulse, right? Yes, it's a battlecruiser, but the Repulse is the only thing approaching a cruiser in 1/350 from Trumpeter aside from the already known Prinz Eugen. The other ships shown from Trumpeter were the Burke and Udeloy II.

Cheers Dade,
Yes, I saw the post. But I was still hoping for another cruiser.
Ah well, time will tell.

Howdy Tom,

More is coming for sure, but when it comes to a cruiser unveiled at the show Jim was talking about, the Repulse was pretty much it. I'm not complaining, mind you...

Any idea on price. Just curious as I am tapped out for the year.

My Akagi arrives tomorrow and I've pre-ordered the ISE. I also bought a new computer that hs done nothing for me but make me curse the world. Seems the modeum fritzed on me and I hd files transfered from the old into the new. Found out that means the old computer had all files wiped. Luckily I had an old AOL disk which I loaded into the old so I could play on the internet a few days.
