Al Torres' detailed reconnaissance report on the recent model show in Japan mentioned 1:350 5000t cruisers from Aoshima being no-shows but under development.

Is this referring to the pre-war IJN light cruisers? If, so I'll need a Nagara to assist my Akagi!

Hi Karl

Yes he quotes a 5500t Light Cruiser, but which one is yet to be seen!
It would be interesting to see which one and in which configuration... Kuma, Nagara, Sendai , pre-war, early stages, late stages, we have a lot of possibilities!

A Tama in Aleutians Campaign scheme would be fun too

Cheers,
Rui

It seems that most of the late ar light crusiers exceeded the 5000tons so I would think the liklihood is for one of the 4 stackers

Well, I'm a sucker for tripod foremast structures, so the more the merrier!

For 1:350 scale, such ships would probably have the most extreme length-to-beam ratios in plastic.

Let's wait and see!
