I know they have been previously released by other companies in 350 scale, but I think in both cases they are OOp. I wonder if they are using new molds or are just re-releasing someone else's old kits

The Pola would be an interesting release if it is a new molding. A few more subjects from other countries that haven't already been done to death is a welcome addition. Thanks for the heads up on this one Sean.

Most of Hobby Boss releases have been new moulds. They started off with 48th scale armour, and have since kept (mostly) to new tooling 35th armour, and 72nd/48th aircraft, not much reissued from them. I believe they have a loose connection to Trumpeter, and with that stated would not be surprised if these ships look and feel like Trumpy kits.... The Pola, would indeed be a nice offering, cross your fingers!

I wished they would have done a 1/700 Pennsylvania instead of the Arizona.
You could have done her in either her Pearl Harbor fit, or with a tiny bit of scratchbuilding in her early 1942 Mare Island refit with the shielded 5 inch guns.

I wish they would come out with the 1921 version like Tom's had a few years ago. I missed out on that one and would love to find another for my BB39 collection.

Me thinks these be re-releases. If they sell well enough to raise cash for all-new ship subjects, all the better.

Weren't Trumpeter producing 1:350 kit of Pola couple of years ago? Atleast my LHS had it on list and he told me its OOB now. I have feeling that HB is just rewarming that Trump kit. Anyways, Regia Marina subjects in 1:350 are always welcome!

I am willing to bet that both 350th scale models will be re-pops of the previous Mini Hobbies (i.e. Trumpeter's old alter ego) products.
Today the new alter ego of Trumnpeter is Hobby Boss. Usually they use Trumpeter devlopments to release down scaled versions of a popular Trumpeter items. Only once in a while they are allowed their own product (e.g. Land-Wasserschlepper).
Considering what 350th ship injection moulds cost, it is hard to pathom they will be using any new moulding. To imagin that will release TWO brand new ships in 350 is even more unlikely. This is just another try to beat a couple of more miles out of a semi-dead horse. However it may be good sign for those who are waiting for the 200th Arizona.
Just my 2 cents

Well, I seen the Arizona in the LHS today and bought it. I'm a bit disappointed in a few things with it, I was suprised at how cheap it was, $12. Maybe I'll do a review if there is interest. I think I may try and sell it to someone else though.

Yes, it is cheap, which is really good news. I'd be interested in a review, I'd like to get both kits but am not sure about the quality. At this price, however, I might get them anyway.

if you are wanting both these kits in 350 , they are the only game in town. I remember how excited we were with the 350 scale Banner minni hobbies Trumpeter Arfizona kit way back when. It was pretty much a pantograph of the old venerable Revell kit. I was able to get a PE set for it which made a BIG difference in appearance. So I would say get it or them as that's it and invest in a really good PE set to bring them up to snuff.

Just to clarify the kit of the Arizona I just purchased is the 1/700 scale one.
