ok,
here is the deal; I have been painting tons of stuff over several years but I never ,and I mean never painted a ship....A very good friend of mine really is a Bismark addict first class and he wants me to paint a model of this...so...I need help om what brands have a real good model of the Bismark(he really wants a very big bad ***..scale Bismark!..?...) and how do I paint a ship/well this ship...???!!...I reckon I need an airbrush for this, but that won't have to be a problem , but what colours do I need for the ship?(what brand and colours?...).
I also want to embed the ship in water, how?
So please almighty recipients of Armorama help me out once more?
your's sincerly,
Alco

This is the best advice I can give due to the fact I never built the Bismarck (yet). These are pics I found of Tamiya's 1/350 scale. if you go to the home page on the link nad click on the how to section. There is an article on how to make the water and other things. Hope this helps and good luck. http://www.modelwarships.com/gallery/bb/dkm/bismarck-350-ae/bismarck-index.html
Also the link below will give you some Idea of the going rate for the kit.

Depending on how much your friend is willing to pay. First choice of kit is of course the 350 scalee Tamiya Bismarck. You might pick up the 700 scale as that is already waterline. Don't know if any others give a aterline choice (Tamiya's does not). Get the photo etched set for it. Gold medal's is excellent, that is what I used. There is a website dedicated to the history of the Bismarck www.kbismarck.com great reference material and some sideview paint schemes you can check out

Being a huge Bismarck nut myself, I have relied heavily on this website
http://www.kbismarck.com/
This has all the history and some line drawings and even some scale models other people have done.
