Limited to 350 scale...if you want another scale...Hey make your own topic

I am going to limit mine to 5 not including what has already been announced for release like the Prinz Eugen and Repulse. 5 Years ago there were a few ships that have come to light like the Akagi, Ise and Repulse, so I thoughe I would try it again. This is for a mass produced plastic version, so if it is already out in resin...so what.

1. A Littorio class Italian BB any year or ship

2. A cage mast American BB Pearl Harbor vet ( CA, WVA, MD, or TN)

3. The Graf Spee German Pocket Battleship

4. Baltimore Heavy Cruiser class...any version during WW2

5. Forrestal Class AIrcraft Carrier

I know the first three are already in the works, but may take a couple of years to hit the shelves and haven't been officially announced, so...

1.) IJN Yamashiro
2.) USS Baltimore (CA-68)
3.) USS Chicago (CA-29) (my grandfather's ship)
4.) USS Saratoga (CVA-60) (my father's ship) (even a nice up to date 1/700 kit of this would be wonderful)
5.) IJN Kaga

I'd love to see a USS Commencement Bay CVE-105 class escort carrier model in 1/350!!

My Dad was on the USS Mindoro CVE-120, which I have made the FleetNet 1/700 kit into.

A 1/350 scale would be terrific!!

Yeah, I know, Steve. You said 1/350 only.

And that you wanted the Top 5.

But, that's about it. I'm mostly a 1/700 guy. For now, anyway.

Hi Guys

Here are my five (in order):

HMS Repulse/ Renown
Revenge class
Iron Duke class
Lion Class
Kongo (in original battlecruiser fit)

With the exception of the first, all unlikely. No doubt Karl (Capt Songhaus) will shame us all by telling how easy they are to scratch-build.

Anyone with thoughts on the scale/ amount o f work of back-dating the two existing Kongo kits to her earlier significantly more graceful fit?

Cheers

Karol

Kym, Hasegawa formally announced the Agano at the recent JMC. So while kits like the Fuso class are being worked on with nothing firm (yet), the Agano is official. There's one wish taken care of.

Karol, the Repulse is on the way from Trumpeter.

Thanks Dade - I'd heard the rumours but it is nice to see something approaching a final release.

I won't hold my breath for the rest of my 'wish' list.

Cheers

I didn't chose any IJN bexcause I am quite sure all the capital ships will be released in the next few years. Other than variants, they need a regular Yamishiro / Fuso and a Hyuga non hybrid BB's and a bunch of carriers and I think they are pretty well committed to the Heavy crusiers. They are also releasing mmore and more classes of DD's. Some other nice kits that I noticed were not picked by anyone. Howabout a Gersum sub 2 pack. Maybe a CLass VII with and without the extra conning tower deck (wintergarden) and the same for a TYPE IX. They could release a set of 4 PT boasts like the Elco, HIggins, Vosper and "S".

1 - WW2 Italian Cruisers

2 - HMS Dreadnought or class

3 - WW2 auxiliary to go with the Liberty ships: Platte class oilers and/or MAC ships

4 - Turn of the century steam paddleboat

5 - Modern non-US/UK/China vessels: Argentina's Falklands vessels, Spain/Poprtugal, etc.

was going to add an amphib, but probably better done in 144 scale to go with the armor/aircraft available at that scale.

JTD:

I kind of have to agree with you. It would be great if you saw a picture of a ship or boat and could say "Hey that is just so cool looking, I have to have a model of it, and be able to go to your chlice of Hobby kit supplies and buy or order it for a reasonable price.
