Anyone used PE sets from either Gold Metal Models or Tom's Modelworks for the Hornet? GMM has 2 sets for the Hornet and cost alot more $$$ than Tom's. I am assuming GMM has more stuff but is it needed or is a simpler Tom's set enough?

I've got the Tom's and think it will cover about everything you want. If you really want to go full tilt, check out White Ensign. I think they went so far as to having the support brackets for depicting the underside of the flight deck as seen inside the hanger deck. You might want to pick up the catwalks if they are reasonably priced. The Tom's kit for the Essex is really grand if you are thinking about doing that one.

Since I'm new at this I went with Tom's and am pretty satisfied. However, I've seen the White Ensign set and if I had the skill and desire to spend that much extra, I'd do it.
