Hello Nick,
The web address is www.vectorcut.com. When it comes up look under wooden decks for plastic models. You have to send a E-mail with the catalog number and they will let you know how to order it and how much.
If you put wooden deck in the search engine here at MSW, the review should be on page 3.
Hope this helps.
cheers,
Bruce

Slowly progress, added the railing from the White Ensign etch, touched up the paintwork, but the unforgiving clarity of the digital photos shows more that there is more to do ...

Plan on doing most of the hull before beginning on the superstructure.

Markgraf question ??? - the etch contains armoured doors for the main turrets, but no instrutions to where they are placed, and the few pictures I have shows no doors i the turrets - anyone with better referance on this issue ?

Hello Jan,
All of my books show them on either the back of the turret or on the back bottom under the over hang. It depends on the Ship Class.
The PE is from White Ensign, right? If so, send a E-Mail to John over at White Ensign. He should have a answer for your question.
Sorry no photo's, just some very bad line plans of some of the turrets.
Thanks for the update, looking good.
Cheers,
Bruce

Thanks Bruce, i“ll try that.

Theres not room enough under the overhang, so its either on the turret or not

Cheers/Jan

I've started my WW1 RN tugboat, Rollcall. It's a scratchbuild, and master which I will be sending to a master caster to hopefully get back as a resin model to finish off.

The reference, which is very good, is from the P N Thomas book on tugs. I have pictures of the lines, and a colour plate to work from and should be in a poistion to send off the work soon.

I shall post a picture shortly.

Peter F

Great work on Erin, in the above picture post !!!

Looking forward to see the tug - harbour equipment is allways a nice thing, as there seems to be very little availeble.

Right now I am workin gon the small stuf on the deck before I am going to weather the hull and turn my attention to the superstructure. Things are going slow due to my work, and the slow progress is not really worth taking pictures of ....

Kostas,.... the Erin looks fantastic, I love the 'modulation' of the paint on both the hull and the deck.

Jan,... great start to the Markgraf,... I'll keep an eye on your build as I have this kit in my stash.

Hello All,
@Jan,
Did you find out where the turret doors go? I have been looking through my books and all I have found is the very poor line drawings, so far. I will keep digging to see if I can find some photo's of the turrets for you.
@Peter,
Good idea about doing a Tug for your build. Are you going to sell any of your resin casts? I would be interested in getting one if you are.
@Ken,
looks like your surgery went off with out a hitch. Hopefully no problems with your hand.

My ship is in the mail to me and I will post some photos when it gets here.
Cheers,
Bruce

Thanks Frank - its not a shake and bake kit for sure, fit is not the best so a lot of care is needed - the level of details are nice though - so its still worth the efford.

Bruce, i have allso been looking - and I don“t think the König“s had doors in the turrets, I am going to leave the off.

Works progressing on the superstructure - fiddly ...

Anyway, working on the superstructure - surpricingly small and low, not much on this ship above the gunturrets.
