do I rig before or after I weather / dullcoat

My Pensalvania is about finished but I cant remember if I weather and dulcote before I rig the ship. Someone please advise me

I personally finish rigging, dullcoat then weather. I use artists chalk to weather and the dullcoat makes the chalk run or fad if applied after.

Other modelers will likley be different. There really is no right or wrong way to do it.

Hi Allan!

Curiously, I've run into a similar problem with a Jutland scene I'm finishing. In this case, I have two coal-fired ships, one already rigged, the other not yet, and I'm learning that smoke columns and radio aerials don't mix, especially with clumsy fingers...

So, I guess it comes down to how dexterous one is. In my case, elaborate rigs may be best left for last.

I do very minimal weathering, but I would rig first, weather then dull coat. Dullcoat hides where my glue spots show on my rigging.
