Nick, i got the Regia marina Roma and the only bad thing i would have to say about this kit (at least my copy) is that even after the second redelivery of the hull, i still found it to be unevenly molded (not symmetrical to the center axes) and i had to sand and cut it down from both sides to reduce the effect (still not 100% perfect).Other than that the kit is one of the best in terms of details and finesse. However no brass barrels included and the resin ones are unusable so for the price i had to pay there are a few things that just weren't up to the grade they should be.But i am sure they have many BB's cruisers and destroyers out.

There are a couple of manufacturers who make Regia Marina ships, all in resin and mostly 1/700

http://www.delphismodels.it/index_e.asp
http://www.regiamarinamas.com/

Pit Road also made a Cavour class BB in 1/700 (resin as well).

There are a few 1/400 Zara class cruisers in plastic, plus a 1/350 Pola, which I believe as an enlarged copy of the 1/400 Tauro kit.

From where you are, you could probably just order directly from the two manufacturers.

You are just going to have to wait like the rest of us. It is still in the beginning phases so we have a year and a half to go before planned release. It still may be 2 years wait based on track record of company. But when it comes, it will be worth it..

Gary Beebee

A few of us old timers remember when Armorama was just one big net and ship modeling was just one of the categories under it. Gary was one of a very few of us who really loved building model ships. He and Rui, Rodger myself and I think Mark and Gator kind of carried the forum and helped it grow with our enthusiasm. It was the first to get branched off into it's own forum, unfortunately Gary had died of a heart attack and never got to see what he had worked so hard at come to full fruition. We have group builds called campaigns and the first 2 were one for Flattops and one for Battleships. BOth were named to memorial ize him. He was a very close friend of mine and I still honor him with that banner.

Still miss ya buddy

hi... hobbyboss made the RN Pola 1:350... and the price is very low... around $12... the USS Arizona is around $27... enter www.hobbyeasy.com or www.luckymodel.com...

the paper or card models are plans in paper to cut and glue... but really dont plans... its like pieces in paper to cut and glue... you can built very nice models... some better than plastic!...

check this RN Roma of GPM Models:

the paper models come like magazines in hard paper... the most important fabricants are:
GPM, JSC, Modelik, FlyModel, Halinski... you can get more than 700 ships!
