Gentlemen, Would like to scratchbuild for my LEX-2, CV2, 05/1942 two items. Just to make it interesting. One of each. An arresting cable and a crash gate. I'm sure they don't sell one of each and if they do I guess they wouldn't be cheap.
What could I use to build them? How to attach them? And look authentic.
I 'm sure with all you super builders out there I can get some good ideas.

crash gate to look good would have to be really fine material. PE would be the best, but unless you make tht yourself not a cheap option as you would have to buy a set to get that unlsess you have some leftover. You might want to look at using thread or very fine wire. make a jig and just start laying it out.
