I just got some gator glue for the first time. My bottle appears to have seperated like a paint and is quite lumpy when I attempt to stir it togeather. Is that normal? Ive never seen glue that wasnt homogenous before.

hope someone can give me some advice.

I'e had a bottle for a coup[le of years now and after a while it got a bit chunky but that was due to sections or areas around the top kind of drying out and me pushing them back in. I prefer mine a bit thicker and more tacky so I do this all the time, but as to separation.....never

Mine does show little lumps... but they have in no way interfered with drying time or glueing strength, so I pay no attention to it.

Hello Allan,
Did your bottle get cold? Gator Glue does not like the cold and sometimes will separate. If not, When my bottle gets lumpy I just add a very little bit of water to it. I then give it a good shaking, Stir it up and put the bottle upside down for a day. That usually works.
If not, Send Ken a PM and see what he thinks.
I always keep my bottle in the warmest part of the house, Winter and Summer.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Bruce

Allan,

One of two things have happened. It either got cold and separated or the gel that I use to add to the adhesive has gone bad. I'll send you out some replacements asap.

I received an e-mail from Kenny this morning re: the same issue with a bottle that I recently received. He mentioned that it was a bad batch from a vendor; they changed vendors, and the problem is solved. He replaced my bottle also. That speaks volumes for his integrity and his product. Besides, he is part of our community, and what could be better than that. Thanks, Gator,

Matt

Thanks Matt. I'm done with that particular brand of gel. You will see a big difference with this new glue. Your replacement bottle went out today.
